About Us

CHRIST-CENTERED

Simply put, it is all about Christ, Paul said “for me to live is Christ” (Philippians 1:21). The church was built and is sustained by the rock that is Christ (Mathew 16) and the church is the place where glory, honor and praise is to be given to Christ until the end of the world (Ephesians 3:21). Considering all of this, we strive to be a Christ-centered family of faith.

GRACE-FOCUSED

To say we are grace-focused is to say we are gospel-focused. The gospel is the good news of the grace of God (Acts 20:24). We need grace, we often need to be reminded about grace, and at Vestavia we hope to continually grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

FAMILY-INTEGRATED

We practice integration, not segregation. Our church is a family, and we believe we should worship as a family. We strive to build an atmosphere where individuals and families gather as one body to worship Christ, together. We believe children are a blessing, not a burden, and that it is the duty of parents to train their children and to bring them up in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord (Prov 22:6, Ephesians 6:4).

REFRESHINGLY-SIMPLE

Our world is complicated, confusing and full of distractions. The worship of God should not be. Our worship services are simple, consisting of congregational singing, biblical sermons, and prayer. It is truly that simple, and we believe you, like us, will find it refreshing and Christ-honoring.

BIBLE-BASED

We believe the Scriptures are inspired and preserved by God and are without any error or contradiction (2 Timothy 3:16, Psalms 12:6-7). We use and recommend the King James translation of the bible for English speaking people. By using one bible we avoid any “translation confusion”.
